Grateful Fred at the first Bootstraps Western Wine Festival. I still don't know why there was a skeleton with a rose in his teeth in the wine seminar tent.
Augustina's Winery is a one-woman winery and was thefirst winery in Boulder County, Colorado. Started in 1997 by owner and winemaker, Gussie Walter. Making wine for the folks who like to have adventures then laugh about them later on while having a glass of easy drinkin' local wine
Wine to go with back-packing adventures ( yep- it's O.K. to have it out of your camping mug), gonzo bike rides, long trad climbing routes, vegetarian BBQ's, Blues music, good mystery novels, and gingersnaps
All of the Augustina's wines are made from Colorado grown grapes. Many of the varietals come from vineyards on the Western slope, but I also get some from local growers in Boulder County and also from vineyards on the Eastern Plains of Colorado .
